Camp Hopson wins prestigious awards

CAMP HOPSON OF NEWBURY WINS TWO NATIONAL RETAILER AWARDS

Newbury’s premier independent department store, Camp Hopson, has won a gold award for Best Independent Department Store, for the second year in succession at Britain’s Best Retailer Awards held in Manchester on 12th November.

Camp Hopson then went on to scoop a further gold award by winning the Best Independent Store category at the 2009 Drapers retail awards held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on 18 November.

Jonathan Hopson, Camp Hopson Chief Executive, comments, "Winning these national retail awards, and particularly the Drapers Award for best independent department store, is a tremendous achievement and a great accolade for all our staff."

The UK’s premier awards event for retailers across all home improvement sectors took place on Tuesday November 18 at the Manchester Hilton hotel. More than 250 industry leaders packed into the Hilton Hotel in Manchester for the glittering gala awards ceremony, at which sponsors included: Akzo Nobel, Sunflex, Stax, Irwin, Decco, Amefa, Sterling, Wade, Jura, Sam’s Trade Centre, Creative Tops. The winner of Britain’s Best Independent Department Store was Camp Hopson & Co.
