Charity
Helping to support a local charity
We are proud to announce our support for the following Charity for 2012/2013
The West Berkshire Alzheimer's Society.
Following the success of the last few years our aim for the two years is a minimum of £10,000
Starting our fundraising off is Emma Holland, Marketing Co-ordinator and Charity Committee member running the Reading Half Marathon on Sunday 1st April 2012 a distance of 13.1 miles.
Jeremy Hughes, Chief Executive at Alzheimer’s Society, said ‘We are delighted that Emma is giving her time to support Alzheimer’s Society. One in three people over 65 will die with dementia. It is a devastating condition and can affect anyone. ‘As a charity, we rely on the generosity of individuals like Emma to help us continue our vital work. Please back Emma in her fundraising efforts so that Alzheimer's Society can continue leading the fight against dementia.’

Charity Evening 2011
We are proud to support our staff nominated Charity for 2010 & 2011
The Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust
Happily on the 24th January 2012 we handed over a check to the NDCCT for £13,336.07.

Chris Rice, Facilities Manager and Charity Fundraising Co-ordinator, led an evening with Staff, the Charity Commitee, Directors, Customers and members of the NDCCT on the 24th January 2012 highlighting many successful events through-out the year.
One of his highlights being the 'Camps Canter in Victoria Park raising £3,400 in the process' Chris's personal highlight of the year 'was the debut of the Camp Hopson football team and immediate retirement of all players after the game, as we were comprehensively thrashed 24 - 3 by DPD/ Although it was such a one-side game, and all of the Camps players were struggling for breath at the end, it was played in great spirit'
There have been so many other events made to our grnad total through the year - Car Boot Sale, Camp Hopson's 90th Birthday Memoribilia, Fashion Show, Newbury Carnival, Snookerathon.
Special Thanks to our customers for their continued support and also Newbury Weekly News, Newbury Sound, Berkshire Life, West Berkshire Lifestyle Magazine, Breda, Byron Copping Flooring, Gemma Cooper Fitness, Crucible Sports and Social Club, Newbury Racecourse, Deanwood Park Golf Club, The Living Rainforest, DPD, Newbury Town Football Club, and most importantly the Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust.
Charity Evening 2010

Yes! the year is complete for 2010 and we are pleased to announce that Camp Hopson Staff and Customers tripled the fundraising goal of £4,000 to raise a whooping £12,354.06
In February last year, a group of staff including Jenny Banham, Emma Holland, Wendy Dixon, Mandy Kinson and Chris Rice set to raise £4,000 during 2010 for the Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust.
The money came in from coffee and cake mornings, fashion shows, quiz evenings, cosmetic events, a world cup sweepstake and in-store charity boxes.
Best of all was our September 2010 Camps Canter - five laps round Victoria Park which over 60 people turned up to take part in.
The cancer care trust is also to be our Charity for 2011 and a further fundraising target of £10,000 has been set.
The Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust – a local charity for local people providing support, care and information.
