Helping to support a local charity
We were proud to support our staff nominated Charity for 2010.

Yes! the year is complete for 2010 and we are pleased to announce that Camp Hopson Staff and Customers tripled the fundraising goal of £4,000 to raise a whooping £12,354.06
In February last year, a group of staff including Jenny Banham, Emma Holland, Wendy Dixon, Mandy Kinson and Chris Rice set to raise £4,000 during 2010 for the Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust.
The money came in from coffee and cake mornings, fashion shows, quiz evenings, cosmetic events, a world cup sweepstake and in-store charity boxes.
Best of all was our September 2010 Camps Canter - five laps round Victoria Park which over 60 people turned up to take part in.
The cancer care trust was also to be our Charity for 2011 and a further fundraising target of £10,000 was set.

Charity Launch
In January of 2010 we as a company decided to support one local charity for the entire year chosen from a list of nominated charities compiled by our staff, our chosen charity for 2010 was the Newbury & District Cancer Care Trust.
A target amount was set for the year of £4000 and a committee formed to organise events thought-out the year to rise money towards this target.
We started the fund rising with a special launch evening on 2nd March attended by David Ball and Gordon West of the charity to give a talk to our staff and representatives from other local businesses including Newbury Sound and The Newbury Weekly News.
The evening was a great success and really started the ball rolling for us, since then we have held a number of events in store including a quiz night and staff coffee and cake morning.
We to date have raised well over £3000 and look to smash our target amount before the end of the year.
We have a barometer outside Josephs restaurant to record our fund raising efforts, which is updated as more money is raised.
