Competitive Salary
We regularly review our salaries against other retailers to ensure we pay at competitive rates. Individual salaries are reviewed on an annual basis.
Holidays
Holiday entitlement starts at 28 days paid holiday, including Bank and Public Holidays, and increases to 33 days paid holiday, including Bank and Public Holidays, after 5 years.
Discount
After satisfactory completion of a probation period, permanent members of staff are issued with a privilege card which gives discount on merchandise within the store.
Other discounts have been negotiated with local businesses for privilege card holders.
Pensions
Following satisfactory completion of a probation period, members of staff are invited to join the GPPP Scheme currently administered by Scottish Equitable and operated through a salary exchange scheme, which can save on Tax and National Insurance payments. Pension members can also benefit from national discounts made available through Alexander Forbes Financial Services Limited. Pension members also qualify to be included in the Death in Service Scheme which is currently based on 4 x your annual salary.
Childcare Vouchers
You have opportunity to save on childcare fees through our childcare voucher scheme administered by Allsave Limited and operated through a salary exchange scheme, which can save on Tax and National Insurance payments.
Uniform
All customer facing staff are issued with the appropriate uniform items.
Long Service and Retirement Awards
We appreciate those who have worked with us for a long time and celebrate the completion of certain periods of service, recognising 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, 40 years and 50 years of service.
Retirement gifts are presented to eligible members of staff and are based on each complete year of continuous service
